Quilt Exhibit at Winedale
This year’s annual Winedale quilt exhibition showcases thirteen quilt treasures from the Briscoe Center’s Winedale Quilt Collection. Quilts on display date from the 1840s to 1987 and include the heavily embellished Crazy Quilt with Ruffle, made in Palestine, Texas around 1888, and Tiger Lily (1940), a masterpiece by Bertha Stenge, known as “Chicago’s Quilting Queen.
