DESCRIPTION:Join us for the third annual BookFest in downtown Brenham on Sunday\, September 1st from noon   5pm at Ant Street Inn!\n\nThis free event showcases local and regional authors with book signings\, book autographs\, book sales\, book related items & handmade paper goods\, book talks and book reviews!  There will be book readings\, book reviews and an author panel discussion during the event.\n\nIn conjunction with the BookFest\, there is a writers retreat for guests of Main Street House on Friday and Saturday\, August 30 & 31\, 2019.  Cost of the writers retreat is included with your two night stay.  Area authors Candi Fite and Dawn Husted will be mediating/leading the retreat which is open to published and aspiring authors. For more details\, contact Main Street House directly.\n\nSunday\, September 1\, 2019   4:15-5:15pm: BookFest Book Club at Back Lot Gallery.  New addition to BookFest.  Book discussion with the author\, Jaime Foley on her book\, The Sentinel\, the first in a trilogy about life after a meteor hits the earth.  Young Adult science fiction/fantasy.  Free!
