DESCRIPTION:Classical choral music is alive and well in Washington County as Brenham Chorale prepares to present their annual Spring concert! This year the group will present Mass No. 4 in C Major and other works of Franz Schubert. This concert will take place at St. Peter's Episcopal Church on Monday\, April 4\, 2022 at 7pm and will be followed by a dessert & drinks reception. The group is composed of 21 local singers and is led by Director\, Amy Shramm\, and accompanied by Dr. Joanne Vollendorf Clark. This concert is presented free of charge\, or by voluntary donation. \n\n About the music:\n\n"Mass No. 4 in C Major"\n\nFranz Schubert\n\nCompleted in 1816\, this mass demonstrates Schubert's dramatic use of key relationships and contrasting vocal textures to express the prayerful\, meditative and glorious nature of the liturgical text.
