SUMMARY:Festival of Texas Fiddling
DESCRIPTION:2nd Annual Festival of Texas Fiddling\n\nTexas Folklife and Texas Dance Hall Preservation\, Inc. for a second year will collectively present a comprehensive study and celebration of Texas Fiddle Music. Recognizing the dance hall as the center of life for early Texas settlers and the fiddle as the center of many types of Texas music\, the event celebrates both uniquely Texas traditions.\n\nThe Festival of Texas Fiddling will feature various music genre workshops lead by recognized masters of Texas fiddling.  Showcase performances follow each workshop. An Evening Dance featuring Elana James and Hot Club of CowTown will complete the festival.\n\nNew for 2015:  A free Kick Off Party will be held Friday\, Nov. 6th at The Stone Cellar Airway Dance Hall in Round Top from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. The party will feature music by The Pettit Brothers.
