SUMMARY:Free Recycling Weekend in Washington
DESCRIPTION:Texas Parks and Wildlife in cooperation with the City of Brenham and Washington County\, will host a recycling trailer available for use by area residents and park staff. The ten-bin trailer will arrive on Fridays and then be picked up early Monday mornings\, the second weekend of each month in 2013.\n\n \n\nItems accepted at the recycling trailer include:\n\nBin 1) Cardboard only\n\nBin 2) Cardboard only\n\nBin 3) Newspaper only\n\nBin 4) Mixed Paper Phone books\, magazines\, office paper and junk mail\n\nBin 5) # 2 Plastic No cartons or plastic bags bottles and jugs only\n\nBin 6) Aluminum Cans Only\, Beverage Cans Only No aluminum pet cans or foil products\n\nBin 7) #1 Clear Plastic No cartons or plastic bags bottles and jugs only\n\nBin 8) Brown Glass only\n\nBin 9) Clear Glass only\n\nBin 10) Metal & Tin only\n\n \n\nAt this time the plan is for the trailer to be located on park property just outside the fence line. After a couple months of usage\, the location may be reevaluated based on usage patterns and volumes collected.\n\n \n\nThe TPWD Recycling & Sustainability Program recognizes the fact that Field operations (those located away from Austin HQ or the Regional offices) present special challenges for recycling\, especially those in rural areas. Washington-on-the-Brazos State park staff appreciates that the City of Brenham Recycling Center and Washington County have agreed to work in conjunction with the Park to bring this recycling opportunity to the park and local residents.
