DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Independence Day in Independence\, Texas.  The celebration will include a trail ride\, parade\, street dance and fireworks.  The trail ride at 2:30 pm will kick off the day's events\, followed by a parade\, fireworks and street dance.  Events will be centered around Independence General Store.  Visitors are urged to bring coolers and lawn chairs.   Hot dogs\, T-shirts and refreshments will be on sale\, with money raised going to the Prairie Hill-Rocky Hill Volunteer Fire Department.  Parade entry forms are availabe at Independence General Store.
