SUMMARY:Musical Theatre Dance Class for Children
DESCRIPTION:Children in 1st\, 2nd and 3rd grades:  A beginning level course.  No previous dance training is required.  Instruction will include basic\, warm-up and stretches\, basic locomotor skills (walk\, runs\, leaps) and simple Broadway-style choreography.  Elementary singing\, beginning tap dance\, stage directions and use of facial expression will be taught\; therefore\, preparing students for further instruction in acting\, voice and/or dance.  A showcase will be held on April 4th.\n\n	\n\n	Students in 4th to 8th grades:  Designed for the student who has had previous training & is capable of working at a faster pace.   Lessons will focus on the different styles of dance used in traditional American musical theatre\, using music from Oklahoma\, Grease\, Annie or A Chorus Line.  A showcase will be held on April 4th.
