DESCRIPTION:Brenham Heritage Museum opens a new exhibit in its Bus Depot Gallery for the month of May entitled Scouting Washington County. This limited time exhibit takes a look at the history of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in our area. Visitors will see a variety of photographs and artifacts from multiple troops in the county.\n\n\n\nAs BHM completes renovations on the old post office building\, their exhibits are displayed in the Bus Depot Gallery at 313 East Alamo at the corner of Clinton. Hours are 10 AM till 4 PM every Saturday. Other times are available by appointment. The Scouting exhibit will run through May 28th\, the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend.\n\n\n\nThe museum's permanent collection includes Scouting items from troops in Burton as well as Brenham. Camping by both girls and boys will be explored through historic photographs and artifacts. In this time of Maifest\, the role of scouts in the history of that annual festival will be highlighted\, as well.
