DESCRIPTION:Step into the Past: Brenham Historical Tours are open! Public tours every Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.\n\nThe Barnhill Center at the Simon Theatre   See The Dawn of Washington County in the upstairs ballroom on most Saturdays. Movie runs on the hour\, every hour from 10:00 to 4:00. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children.\n\nGlissmann Drug Store Museum   A fascinating pharmacy that looks exactly like it did in 1924. A short movie will introduce visitors to Carl Glissmann. Admission is free of charge.\n\nBrenham Fire Museum   Visitors can see up-close three antique fire trucks from Brenham's past\, two of which are rare   the only ones in Texas of their kind. Admission is free of charge.\n\nBrenham Heritage Museum   New exhibits and three short movies have been added to the gallery for Step into the Past. New interactive activities for children are popular. Admission to the Museum gallery is $3 for adults and $1 for children.\n\nToubin Park   Opened in 2011\, the park is part of Step into the Past for its original cistern built around 1878. Toubin Park displays give details about the Washington County Railroad\, the Burning of Brenham\, and the city's Texas Archeological Landmark   a system of historic cisterns. Admission is free of charge.\n\nThe Giddings Wilkin House Museum   The oldest standing home in Brenham\, built in 1843\, visitors are greeted with a short film and then allowed to tour the house.\n\nThe Giddings Stone Mansion   Built in 1870\, this grand house has hosted many lavish events for nearly 150 years. Tourists can see the homes' advanced features for its time\, and learn how the family's household operated.\n\nThe public can tour the Giddings houses on Saturdays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Admission to see both homes is $15 for adults and $5 for children.
