DESCRIPTION:The Blinn College District will bring one of the nation's most legendary comedy troupes to the Dr. W.W. O'Donnell Performing Arts Center when it hosts The Second City's comedy revue\, "Made in America (Some Assembly Required)." A certified American comedy institution since 1959\, The Second City is sending satire down the conveyor belt and celebrating what makes America tick with a hilarious show that will leave audiences breathlessly ready to face the future   and all its loose screws. Performing social and political satire in two 45-minute acts of scripted scenes\, music\, and improvisations\, The Second City is always original\, daring\, and spectacularly funny. Celebrating almost 60 years of producing cutting-edge satirical revues\, The Second City has launched the careers of generation after generation of comedy's best and brightest. Its alumni list is a veritable "Who's Who" of comedy\, including Bill Murray\, John and Jim Belushi\, Mike Myers\, Steve Carell\, Julia Louis-Dreyfus\, George Wendt\, Tina Fey\, John Candy\, Stephen Colbert\, Chris Farley\, Harold Ramis\, Jason Sudeikis\, Keegan-Michael Key\, and many more. The show takes place at 4 p.m. Sunday\, Feb. 24. Individual show tickets are $35\, and discount $15 tickets are available for children ages 10 and under. Blinn employees and groups of 10 or more can purchase discounted $30 tickets and student rush tickets are $10. Single reception tickets will be available up to five days prior to the show for $20.
