Firearms Quality Control Inspector- Bryan/College Station
Spherion is working with a new firearms manufacturing company in Bryan/College Station seeking a Firearms Quality Control Inspector.
Responsibilities:
Perform firearms testing to ensure compliance with all firearms manufacturing standards
Inspect for key performance data including (but not limited to) Pressure, Velocity, Accuracy, and Prime Sensitivity. Must be able to handle all types of commercial firearms and weapons effectively and safely.
5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Includes proficiency with surface plate layout techniques with traditional measuring devices (eg, indicators, height gages, calipers, micrometers). Knowledge of metallurgical testing and equipment utilization, i.e., hardness testing, wet saw usage, etc. is a plus.
Drawing/blueprint reading, including working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Basic knowledge of statistics, measurement systems analysis (MSA), and statistical process control, including applications.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
