MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
Monday - Friday, mandatory Saturdays as needed
3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour or DOE
JOB SUMMARY
This position sets up, adjusts and maintains printing equipment with responsibility for ensuring production and quality requirements are met in a timely manner. You will provide assistance in implementing and coordinating improvements or cost reductions for work flows.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on equipment and takes corrective action

Makes necessary adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality

Reviews production schedule to accommodate necessary changeovers or scheduled maintenance

Monitors printers during production hours and run cycles

Cleans printers in accordance with work instruction

Tests equipment following repairs, changeovers, or extended down time

Schedules preventative maintenance checks

Communicate to production staff about recurring equipment malfunctions and provide corrective action solutions; request parts/supplies as needed

Assists in maintaining the waste water treatment area (training provided)

Follows safety rules and maintains personal safety and the safety of others

Maintains a clean work area at all time

Ensures compliance with Food Safety Standards (SQF Code) throughout manufacturing facility

May assist in training production personnel or other team members
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience in a maintenance role

Excellent mechanical skills with the ability to use tools and conduct repairs in timely manner

Must be able to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with other departments

Excellent attitude and commitment to the role

Strong work ethic

Operates well in a deadline-driven manufacturing/production facility

Must be mechanically inclined

Team player and works well with others
