Winedale's historic homes, decorated for a 19th century Christmas, will be open for people to tour. Around the grounds, folklife demonstrations of quiltmaking, weaving, spinning, whittling, blacksmithing, basket weaving, and more, can be enjoyed. Also the Raven Rangers from Huntsville will be demonstrating military life of that era.
Farm animals will be in the corral and children can make old-time crafts in the Old Winedale one-room schoolhouse. You may even see the German Weihnachtsmann (Santa Claus) giving out candy coins to the children.
Stagecoach and covered wagon rides will carry you from place to place and entertainment in the theatre barn will include German singers and dancers, an Oompah band, dulcimers, fiddlers, handbell choirs, Shakespeare players, and more. Food will be available for sale.
