Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
More than 8% of the children in the US are being reared by a grandparent(s). Problems such as substance abuse, catastrophic illness, teen pregnancy, incarceration, unemployment, family violence and divorce have cause an increasing number of grandparents to assume full-time parenting responsibilities for their grandchildren. Grandparents often must make numerous changes in their daily routines and lifestyles when raising their grandchildren. Come and join an interactive 3-part session on issues involving "Grandparenting".
