How To Start the Small Family Farm
Presented by Brad Stufflebeam of HOMEsweetFARM. Brad will share the story of HOMEsweetFARM and how his family developed the first and largest Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm serving Houston. This lively discussion will include such topics as choosing the right land, farm marketing, farm labor, developing farmers cooperatives and utilizing diversified farming techniques including cover crop production, pastured poultry, greenhouse and hightunnel production, rotational grazing and more. Cost: $25, must register online.
