Winedale online talk: “The Battle of the Alamo: A Flashpoint of the Texas Revolution” A 13-day siege. A defiant pledge, “Victory or Death.” A 90-minute battle. A decisive loss. From the ashes of defeat rose a battle cry: “Remember The Alamo.” Nearly 200 years later, those words have ricocheted across the world. The Alamo’s Senior Curator, Historian and Lecturer Ernesto Rodriguez traces the roots of the Texas Revolution, from the political seat of power in Mexico City to the frontier battlefields across modern-day South Texas. This presentation will be on Wednesday, November 8 at noon. Please e-mail tricia.blakistone@austin.utexas.edu for a zoom link to this talk.
