The Brenham Heritage Museum is hosting “Vedem: the Underground Magazine of the Terezin Ghetto”, an exhibition organized by the Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission. The exhibition tells the story of the Czech underground newspaper, Vedem, and the stories of the people who created the short-lived periodical. Vedem was published between 1942 and 1944 in the Terezin Ghetto in occupied Czechoslovakia. The Czech-language literary magazine existed from 1942 to 1944 during the Holocaust. Incredibly, the paper was created by boys living in the ghetto.
