About Us

The Senior Activity Center serves senior citizens in Washington County aged 60 and over. Providing daily lunches, activities, games, special events, travel and other interesting programs. During normal operations, the Margaret E Blizzard Senior Activity Center is open Monday through Friday, 8 AM-4 PM. Seniors come for activities, breakfast, lunch, and socialization. The Center has a computer lab with an instructor, an exercise room with instructors, an arts/crafts room with an instructor, a quilting/sewing room, a library, a large game room with pool and card/game tables, and a meditation/relaxation room. We provide a nourishing lunch each weekday, free to seniors and available to their guests at a nominal price. Lunches are prepared in our kitchen at the Senior Center by our full-time staff. Those who cannot go through the line, are served by volunteers. Frozen meals and non-perishable groceries are delivered weekly to homebound seniors. Our transport van provides rides to and from the Center for seniors who don't drive. As of September 2024 our membership is 1015
