The Friendly Folks at Schleider's have served satisfied customers in Central Texas since 1902.

We built and moved into our present location, at 307 S. Austin in Brenham, in 1917, in the heart of the city's business district and across the street from the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.

In those early days, Schleider's customers counted on the store for dry goods and beverages. Even travelers coming through the Santa Fe railroad depot across the street looked forward to a chance to enjoy soft- and hard-drinks at Schleider's between trains!

When Prohibition put an end to hard liquor sales, the store focused on becoming one of the dominant home furnishings stores in the area.

Our membership in Home Furnishings International Association keeps us on top of industry trends and into the best pricing. With our long history of dedicated customer service and cheerful support of our area's many community efforts, we can't think of any place we'd rather be!
