Starting August 25th, the German-Texan Heritage Society (GTHS) will offer a new semester of German language classes for Adults in Brenham. All classes are taught by native German TSU instructor Christine Schoen Wood and will meet at the Student Center in Conference Room 1 at Blinn College, 902 College Avenue, Brenham.

Two sessions will be offered during the Fall 2010 Semester, including a 4-week intensive session and a longer 6-week session. The first session is four weeks long and meets for 2 hours on Wednesdays starting August 25. Two levels of adult courses will be offered including Introduction to Conversational German meeting from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Intensive German for Travelers meeting from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The second session is six weeks long and meets for 1.5 hours on Wednesdays beginning October 20. Beginning Conversational German will be offered from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm and Improve your German Skills will meet from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

The cost of a 4-week adult class is $35 for GTHS members and $45 for non-members. The cost of a 6-week class is $45 for members and $55 for non-members. Some classes require a textbook which is available from GTHS and costs $20.00. Registration closes on August 20 and October 15 for the first and second sessions, respectively.
