The Republican Club of Washington County will have Citizens Commission on Human Rights, Texas Executive Director, Lee Spiller at our monthly meeting on Nov. 19, 2019 at 5:30 PM. Mr. Spiller will speak about Senate Bill 11 and how it affects our schools and families. If you have children in school or grandchildren, this program may interest you and help you understand the latest legislation. For over 22 years, Mr. Spiller has worke3d to restore inalienable human rights to the field of mental health. He has worked toward passage of legislation concerning basic rights, including the right to informed consent for psychotropic drugs, including the right to seek alternatives including no treatment at all. He has spoken nationally and internationally on the need to protect and promote human rights in the field of mental health. We would like to invite our community to join us at our meeting to learn about how this bill may affect your child or grandchild. The meeting is this Tuesday the 19th, at 6:00 PM at Blinn Student Center Banquet Hall. The group social is at 5:30 PM. King Ranch Chicken and a green salad will be served, catered by Nathan’s at 6:00 PM, followed by our guest speaker.
