Hands and Feet: A Musical Celebration
Listen to the sounds of period music and dance along with period dances. You are invited to try your hand at period instruments such as spoons, a washtub bass, and the washboard. Interpreters on site will be discussing the importance of music in the culture of the 19th. century , especially the importance of slave songs. Dance the Virginia Reel or just clap your hands and tap your feet. Come join the celebration of music and its impact not only today but over 150 years ago.

Location
The Celebration will be held at the Barrington Living History Farm located at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Histroic Site off Highway 105 on FM 1155 between Navasota and Brenham.

Farm admission fees: State pass holders are admitted free.
