Independence Historical Society Spring Tour of Historic Buildings
Experience colonial Texas life in a dogtrot log cabin and the John P. Coles House, two of the earliest homes in Washington County. Docents describe life at both homes and at the 1900s rural one-room schoolhouse. Enjoy a variety of historic crafts and music. Saturday, 11:30 am-5:00 pm-Gerald Humphreys, Star of Texas Dulcimer. Sunday, 12:30-5 pm-Jody Chalupnic, Norht Harris County Dulcimer; and Ethel Strum, crocheting.
