Independence Historical Society Spring Tour of Historic Buildings
Experience colonial Texas life in a dogtrot log cabin and the John P. Coles House, two of the earliest homes in Washington County. Docents describe life at both homes and at the 1900s rural one-room schoolhouse. Enjoy a variety of historic crafts and music. Saturday,11:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.-Sissy Ward, Front Porch Dulcimer; and Jo Powell, harmonica. Sunday, 12:30-5:00 p.m.- Sissy Ward, Front Porch Dulcimer; and Sue Works, spinning, weaving and fiber.
