The Happy Journey from Camden to Trenton by Thornton Wilder.  A simple story of Ma, Pa, and their two children who journey from Newark in the family Chevrolet to see their marrried daughter in Camden.  The american culture and home environment are dramatically depicted, and the mother figure stands out as a brilliant piece of portraiture representing the backbone of the nation.

 

Pullman Car by Thornton Wilder.  This surprisingly imaginative play personifies various towns that the pullman car passes through, and follows the life stories of its eight passengers.  The weather, the hours of the night and the planets also have speaking parts, adding a novel twist.
