''Soundscapes'' Flute & Harp Recital
St. Peter's Episcopal Church is presenting a flute and harp recital on Sunday, October 11 at 4:00 pm. Dr. Wendy Bergin, Assistant Professor of Music at Prairie View A&M University and Elizabeth Brownlee will perform the concert entitled Soundscapes. included in the program is American composer Charles Rochester Young's The Song of the Lark, a very colorful piece inspired by Jules Breton's painting of the same name, with three movements that describe the lark's song to the waking sun, its flight, and the fading of the bird's song as darkness falls. The program includes works by Handel, Rossini & Lauber among others.
