Texas Critter Program
Interested in getting out and getting some fresh air? Looking for a way to get the kids outside to explore the great outdoors? How about bringing the family to Nails Creek State Park to enjoy our Texas Critters Program that will be held every Saturday during the month of May at 11am! A ranger will visit with the kids about different Texas Critters and even have skulls and pelts that the kids can touch and feel. This program is designed to help educate our youth on the different wildlife species they may experience while in the park. Afterwards you could have a picnic, hike a trail, or even rent a canoe or kayak to paddle around the lake. Maybe go on a geocache hunt or try fishing at our kid fishing pond with our free tackle loaner program. Entrance is $4 per person over the age of 13. Ages 12 and under are free! Contact Nails Creek State Park for more information! 979-289-2392
