The Hanne Frank restoration and the heroic efforts of the Danish people in WWII
Walter Hansen is the project manager for the restoration of the Hanne Frank, A Danish fishing boat that is on permanent display at Holocaust Museum Houston. This boat represents the valiant efforts of the Danish people who risked their freedom, their possessions and their lives to help more than 7,200 Jews escape Nazi oppression during the occupation of Denmark in WWII. In his presentation, Mr. Hansen will describe the historical importance of the Hanne Frank and the ongoing efforts to restore her to her original condition.
