QC Chemist
The Quality Control Chemist provides quality assurance for chemical batches, assists with product development, and provide assistance to mixing and packaging facilities as needed to resolve quality assurance problems. A bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field. Coursework or certification in analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis, and quality systems is highly desirable. 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control or Analytical Chemistry, preferably in a manufacturing or aerosol environment. Hands-on experience with Gas Chromatography (GC), pH meter, and other wet chemistry-related equipment. Physical and chemical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. Aerosol-specific testing methods (e.g., valve integrity, pressure testing, fill weight verification, spray performance). Candidate to have familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), ISO standards and regulatory requirements relevant to aerosol products (e.g., FDA, EPA, OSHA, DOT), and statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis (RCA) tools.
