Washington on the Brazos Historical Foundation
The 300 acre Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site features the Star of the Republic Museum, Independence Hall, and Barrington Plantation. The site’s Visitor Center features interactive exhibits and a Museum Store. The Texas Cotton Gin Museum interprets and preserves the Burton Farmers' Gin as a representation of cotton farming and processing at the turn of the 20th Century. The museum welcomes visitors all year AND at festival time in April. Rentals of the Roy Winkler Family Pavilion and Wehring House are also available.
