JOB SUMMARY
 
Seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance Specialist to support regulatory compliance programs related to OSHA, EPA, FDA, DOT, and state regulations. This role assists with safety programs, environmental reporting, SDS management, employee training, and regulatory documentation to help ensure company-wide compliance and operational excellence. 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, and applicable state and local regulations. 
  • Maintain and review Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. 
  • Assist with Hazard Communication (HazCom) programs, GHS labeling, and SDS preparation. 
  • Monitor regulatory requirements and support company-wide compliance initiatives. 
  • Coordinate with suppliers and customers regarding regulatory documentation and SDS updates. 
  • Assist with product labeling compliance, including OSHA GHS and CPSC requirements. 
  • Support transportation compliance activities, including USDOT regulations and product tariff classifications. 
  • Assist with employee regulatory and safety training programs. 
  • Support environmental compliance programs, including EPA, RCRA, stormwater, air quality, and state reporting requirements. 
  • Maintain regulatory documentation, records, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, Quality, Safety, and Customer Service teams to ensure compliance objectives are met. 
  • Assist with audits, inspections, compliance inquiries, and special projects as assigned. 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or a related field preferred. 
  • 2+ years of experience in EHS, regulatory compliance, safety, environmental, or related disciplines preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDA, DOT, and other applicable regulatory requirements. 
  • Familiarity with GHS standards, Hazard Communication programs, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). 
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills. 
  • Ability to interpret regulations and communicate compliance requirements effectively. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. 
  • Experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment preferred.
